Films So Good, Spoilers Don’t Matter

It is hard to surprise viewers and films today are having a hard time keeping their endings a secret. However, there are a select few that no matter if you knew the ending or how many times you see it, you end up gasping in shock. I will not give away the twist endings of these films but if you have seen them, watch them again and I am sure at one point or another, you will have forgotten what will happen and feel like it is the first time you ever saw it:

Fight Club (1999)Edward Norton and Brad Pitt(Screengrab)Fight Club

Loser makes a new friend and they wreck havoc and freedom. No matter how many times I see it, I forget the twist and find myself rethinking everything.

The Others

Even if you hate scary movies, this film is so well done that you can’t help but love the suspense, intrigue and even jump in your seat at all the weird things going on with this family. You might know the ending but you still can’t get enough of it.

witnessWitness For The Persecution

This film is considered one of the first to use a twist ending. The royal family was permitted a special early screening but had to sign a contract that stated they will not tell anyone the ending. One of the best courtroom mysteries ever made, it is still a classic and nothing has been made quite like it since!

There are so many other films that you know the ending and you watch it again very carefully to see how they got there (i.e. The Usual Suspects or The Sixth Sense) but for me, the three mentioned above still give me chills and always make me feel like I am watching it for the first time that it is never ruined for me.

What film endings surprised you the most?
